VIP Immigration is a recruitment company with over 10 years of service. We are currently seeking qualified Chefs to join Café Dolcetto in Yass, NSW. Hands-on Chefs required with experience across breakfast, lunch, and dinner service. The successful candidate would be skilled in a range of cuisines including Modern Australian, Western, Italian, Sri Lankan, and Indian, and capable of preparing high-quality food in a commercial kitchen. Responsibilities include cooking and plating, along with ordering, stock control, seasonal menu planning, and food costing to maintain quality and efficiency. About the Business Café Dolcetto, operated by VIP Catering Pty Ltd, is a contemporary café and dining venue focused on delivering high-quality food and excellent customer service. The business prides itself on consistency, fresh ingredients, and maintaining professional kitchen standards. Key Responsibilities Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner service Hands-on preparation of a range of cuisines including modern Australian, Western, Indian, Italian and Sri Lankan menu items Ensure food quality, portion control, and presentation meet business standards Assist with daily kitchen operations and service preparation Maintain food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards in accordance with Australian regulations Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory control Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service Comply with workplace health and safety procedures at all times Plan and update seasonal menus based on availability and customer demand Manage food costing, portion control, and minimize waste to maintain profitability Supervise and support kitchen staff when required to ensure efficient operations Coordinate with suppliers and manage ordering to maintain stock levels Skills and Experience Required Minimum 2–3 years’ experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen Hands-on experience in breakfast, lunch and Dinner service is essential. Proven experience in modern Australian, Western, Indian and Italian cuisine for lunch and dinner Ability to prepare Sri Lankan dishes would be well regarded Diploma in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification) Good communication skills in English Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail Flexible availability, including weekends and public holidays Reliable, professional, and team-oriented approach to work Position Details Full-time, permanent position Location: Café Dolcetto, Yass, NSW Salary: AU77,000 to AU86,000 per annum + superannuation (based on skills and experience) For more information, including a full position description, To apply, please send your CV and relevant documents to the above email address.
