AACHWA delivers professional development programs for managers, boards, and artists; provides recruitment advice and services; and acts as an advocate to, and central point of contact for, Regional, State and Federal funding bodies. About the role AACHWA is seeking a proactive and relationship?driven Sales Coordinator and Administrator to support the growth of Make it Real to a major social impact initiative now entering its seventh year. The project aims to disrupt the fake Aboriginal souvenir market by supporting WA Aboriginal art centres to develop authentic, culturally grounded products that reflect the stories and values of their communities. Reporting to the Project Manager, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, managing stockist networks, and keeping operations running smoothly. You’ll work closely with art centres, artists and retailers to ensure products are distributed, promoted and sold effectively. This includes managing orders, maintaining inventory systems, coordinating dispatch, and being the key communicator for stockists and wholesale partners. With new inventory arriving and strong demand from venues, this role is central to expanding Make it Real’s retail footprint. This position suits someone who is organised, confident, and excited by the opportunity to contribute to a meaningful social enterprise within the Aboriginal arts sector. Duties and Responsibilities You will be responsible for: Handling all product orders, enquiries and after?sales support Processing purchase orders, invoices and sales documentation accurately Providing timely communication to buyers, stockists and retailers Maintaining stock, logistics and inventory systems, including SAM (Stories, Art and Money) Coordinating dispatch of products and samples to retailers and agents Conducting monthly check?ins with art centres and stockists to track SOH and sales Analysing sales performance and providing insights to support future product ranges Picking, packing and coordinating deliveries to stockists Building and nurturing strong stockist and wholesale relationships Identifying new retail opportunities and expanding distribution channels Supporting the creation of catalogues, line sheets and sales materials Assisting with events, markets and fairs as required Supporting project reporting, acquittals and documentation Ensuring compliance with organisational systems, policies and procedures Contributing to AACHWA publications, including the Annual Report The Ideal Candidate Essential Criteria: Experience in retail, sales coordination or product distribution Proven ability to build and maintain stockist or client relationships Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail Ability to manage competing deadlines in a dynamic environment Clear and professional written and verbal communication Experience working with diverse stakeholders Strong time management and ability to prioritise effectively Highly regarded (but not essential): Knowledge of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander arts sector Experience working in a not?for?profit or social enterprise environment Willingness to travel within WA, including occasional weekends Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates are strongly encouraged to apply Why Work For AACHWA?
