About the Role As Assistant Director, you will work closely with the Centre Director to support the daily operations of the service, mentor educators, and ensure the delivery of exceptional early learning programs. Our service is a fast paced service caring for 194 children per day. This role requires a strong, experienced leader who can confidently guide a team, uphold compliance standards, and foster a positive, high-performing culture. What We’re Looking For We are seeking an Assistant Director who: Holds a Diploma or higher qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care Has proven experience in a leadership role within an early learning setting Demonstrates strong knowledge of the EYLF, NQS, and childcare regulations Brings confidence in managing compliance, programming, and centre operations Has a passion for mentoring and developing educators Prioritises child safety, wellbeing, and inclusive practices at all times Possesses excellent communication and organisational skills Is proactive, solution-focused, and leads by example Is available to work across operational hours (6:00am to 6:30pm) Why Join Active Kids?
