Automotive Mechanic, Technician Ararat Auto and Ag Services Ararat, Ballarat and Central Highlands VIC Automotive Trades (Trades and Services) Full time 70,000 to 95,000 per year Ararat Auto and Ag Services has an opening for a fully qualified and experienced light vehicle mechanic. We are specifically looking for someone with excellent diagnostic skills and the ability to work on a wide range of jobs, such as: Diagnosing, repairing, and servicing vehicles Undertaking complex repairs, including engines, transmissions, suspension systems, and more This position is a key role and is ideally suited to someone who has: A high level of skill in light vehicle diagnostics Australian Trade Qualification as a Mechanic Several years’ practical experience as a mechanic in Australia High quality workmanship and attention to detail Excellent communication skills A positive can-do attitude A strong work ethic This is a full-time permanent role for a qualified light vehicle mechanic / technician. About the Business Ararat Auto and Ag Services is a small, family run business. We are a Repco Authorised Service Centre offering a wide range of services including standard servicing to most makes and models of cars and 4WDs, but also small trucks, tractors, forklifts and small engines. We are also dealers of new Deutz-Fahr and Kioti tractors, Stihl products and various other equipment, plant and machinery. We are located near the scenic Grampians, 2 hours from Melbourne, on the Western Highway truck route through Ararat. Ararat is a vibrant and well-resourced rural town with excellent medical facilities, choice of primary and secondary schools and a regular V-Line train service through to Melbourne. Minimum requirements Australian Trade Qualification as a Mechanic, or equivalent Extensive practical experience is important for this role, therefore, qualifications and/or applications should demonstrate this.
