Carpenter Maple Cribbing and Slabs Location Mississauga, ON Salary 36.10 hourly / 35 to 40 hours per week Full time Morning, Day, Evening, Night Starts as soon as possible Languages English Education College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years Experience 7 months to less than 1 year Work must be completed at the physical Location. There is no option to work remotely. Work setting Construction Renovation Responsibilities: Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials Prepare tenders and quotations Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware Schedule and co-ordinate work s Survey building Location s and levels Instruct apprentices Estimate costs and materials Operate CADD and other computer software systems Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments Additional information Work conditions and physical capabilities Handling heavy loads Physically demanding Tight deadlines Personal suitability Accurate Excellent written communication Until: 2026-03-21
