What You'll Do As the Customer Service Officer, you will deliver high-quality, customer-focused service by managing enquiries across multiple communication channels and working to achieve timely, effective resolution. The role involves providing advice and assistance across tenancy and property-related matters, supporting both customers and internal teams. You will manage a broad range of service areas, including housing and property enquiries, rent and non-rent payments, low-level debt management, rent reviews, responsive repairs, and administrative support across housing and asset functions. Your ability to assess enquiries, prioritise effectively and resolve issues at first contact where possible will be key to success. With a positive, solutions-focused approach, you will handle enquiries professionally and with empathy, supporting customers to navigate services and sustain their tenancy. What We're Looking For You will be an enthusiastic, resilient and non-judgmental person with a genuine commitment to delivering high-quality customer service. You will be comfortable engaging with people from diverse cultures, backgrounds and life experiences, including those experiencing vulnerability. You will also have: Minimum 2 years’ experience in a customer service or customer-facing role Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong ability to build rapport and actively listen to understand customer needs Experience in conflict resolution and de-escalation, managing challenging conversations with professionalism and empathy Strong time management skills with a high level of attention to detail Well-developed problem-solving and critical thinking skills, enabling sound judgement and effective decision-making It is a requirement of this position that applicants who apply must have, or be willing to apply for, a valid National Police Check.
