Reporting to the Group Geology Manager, the Principal Resource Geologist will be responsible for the delivery of Mineral Resource Estimations and production models as required by the company across all its operations. Based in our corporate office, with occasional travel to the various Company owned assets. Key Responsibilities Complete 3D geological modelling, resource estimation and subsequent economic evaluation to produce accurate, validated mineral resource estimates. Ensure production models are updated as required. Collaborate with site geology teams to support grade control and resource definition drilling programs. Understand and effectively quantify and communicate the geological uncertainty and risk within an orebody across the mining value chain. Monitor and maintain the Resource estimation systems and processes for the company. Support with reviewing the reconciliation of the Resource and Grade Control Model with production figures and mill figures on a monthly and yearly basis to improve performance to Resource models. Support collaboration with the mining and project geology teams to efficiently advance mine extension projects to mining stage. Contribute to the completion of all mine, corporate and statutory schedules to assist in the generation of exploration report results and Mineral Resources. Provide resource geology input towards budgeting, forecasting and LOM planning as required. About You Your success will come from balancing a hands-on, practical approach with the need to rapidly identify material risks and opportunities in a complex and evolving environment. You will also need to have the below: Tertiary qualification in the geosciences or a related discipline. Minimum of fifteen (15) years’ experience in mining and exploration geology, preferably gold, with at least five (5) years resource modelling and estimation experience, senior leadership experience would be beneficial. Strong experience with linear and nonlinear estimation, including recoverable resources and simulation techniques with ability to decide on and apply the most appropriate methods. Demonstrated focus on model reconciliation with an ability to interrogate the causes of changes to models and demonstrate the impact on the resulting models and economics of the project. Strong understanding of QA/QC procedures, drilling and sampling practices and standard gold industry laboratory analytical methods. Experience in the use of geological software for mining operations and estimation. Strong understanding of various mineralisation controls and deposit genesis with a focus on the West Australian region.
