Senior Buyer, NSW Sarah and Sebastian New South Wales Planning (Retail and Consumer Products) Full time Add expected salary to your profile for insights Sarah and Sebastian is seeking a dynamic and commercially-minded Senior Buyer to take the lead on product assortment and development for all sales channels including Ear Alchemy, Bridal, SOLDERED, and seasonal collections. Reporting to our Merchandise Director, you will work collaboratively with design, brand and marketing departments to plan go-to-market activity, acting as the central connector to ensure profitable product collection assortments aligned with business objectives. Driving the critical path, you will ensure key milestones are met cross-functionally to achieve commercial outcomes. WHAT YOU WILL DO Strategic Product Planning: Execute merchandise product strategy, develop range frameworks and collection architecture and collaborate on new product development. Product Ranging: Define and implement tailored product assortments for all sales channels and maintain range boards. Buying: Forecast sales expectations, quantify initial purchasing quantities, and set retail pricing for new launches. Pricing and Promotions: Develop and maintain pricing frameworks, recommend promotional strategies, and devise price lists for digital and international markets. Marketing Collaboration: Liaise with Marketing on campaign planning, ensure product samples are available for shoots, and provide product recommendations for storytelling. Visual Merchandising Leadership: Own the VM process and product presentation strategy, creating guides for retail teams. Channel Management: Lead channel-specific ranging, including wholesale proposals and dropship assortments. Retail Collaboration: Partner with Retail teams to optimize product performance, provide stock recommendations and training, and gather customer insights through store visits. Budget Allocation: Merchandise financial budgets ABOUT YOU 5+ years in buying and product development in ideally jewellery or fashion. Experience in analysing trends and looking for opportunities in the jewellery industry. Ideally experience with fine jewellery product development. Tertiary qualification in buying, merchandising or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Excellent commercial acumen, commercial mindset, collaborative, analytical and detail-oriented. Understanding of VM principles. Excellent Office and/or Google Workspace skills, proficient Excel skills, and strong presentation skills. Positive and proactive with a can-do attitude, natural ability to take initiative. Thrive in a fast-paced environment with excellent time management, prioritisation skills, and adaptability.
